Atco Energy (Nigeria) Limited, has declared it’s determination to promote the use and consumption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, otherwise called cooking gas in every household in Nigeria.

The Managing Director of the Company, Engr. Omon Egbochie, disclosed this at the corporate head office of the company in Lagos at a press briefing to herald the commissioning of  two new ultra-modern Bobtail LPG trucks purchased by the Company to boost bulk LPG delivery in Nigeria.

He said the decision of the Company to focus on renewable alternative energy sources, particularly the LPG market was to align with the federal government’s plan to promote cooking gas usage in the country. He further disclosed the company’s expansion plan which includes the setting up of filling plants in various locations and purchase of additional delivery trucks.

According to him,  “One of the key factors in LP-gas retail business is that customers get value for what they pay for. We have a zero-tolerance for under-dispensing. We have a network development and control section that monitors under-dispensing, and policing the sales and our outlets. We have sanctions if they are caught.

The MD further noted that the Company would be leveraging on its brand equity and relationship with major producers and equipment suppliers to consolidate and grow its retail business portfolio across the country.
